Interview: Jaedra Digiammarino, Actress
On what it's like being an actress trying to break into Hollywood
I first met Jaedra back when I was just starting out as a photographer, and she had just recently moved to the Los Angeles area. She’s an actress, but these days actors always have to do some modeling, for reasons we’ll get into in the interview.
Topics we’ll cover: How she got started acting, how people find acting gigs, why actors these days have to be models, the importance of social media, how to get into SAG-AFTRA (that part is nuts tbh), the challenges of breaking into the film industry, and why it’s still worthwhile to those who do it.
One topic really bleeds into the next here, and I found it to hard to provide timestamps for where each subject begins. There is a cut in the middle where I had a technical issue with Zoom.
